Ruby Cookbook PDF

I have some exciting news to share with you all, the Ruby Cookbook is now available for half price in PDF form from O'Reilly. That's right, you can now download and search the cookbook for all your recipes and needs. I usually don't prefer PDF books, but if I hadn't written it, the cookbook certainly would be an exception since each recipe is about a page or two in length. I think the PDF version of the cookbook makes more sense in PDF version than some other technical books. Do you guys prefer hard copies or PDF copies?

I bought the hard copy two weeks ago for my bookshelf. It's not only a book, it is a decoration for my entire workplace. Nice cover, nice name and hopefully good content (-:

Thanks Lucas!!
I already have the paper book, but I just purchased and downloaded the PDF too.
I really like having the combination. Paper for the easy chair, PDF on my laptop for weightless reference while I'm working at the coffee shop. Thanks for letting us know, and thanks for creating such an excellent resource.

I definitely prefer pdf books - much more portable. Pdf books are best when they are properly linked and have a clear outline for navigation.

Thanks for the find, I was just about to buy the heavy hard copy.

Both! Hardcopy is for planes & restaurants, PDF is better as a reference.

I like Flash Paper better than PDF because it loads much faster. I hate having to start up Adobe Acrobat every time I request a pdf. Flash Paper runs on the Flash player so it loads extremely fast. I have Flash Paper 2 installed so I can easily convert a pdf to flash paper. I'm not sure if there are any free services out there which will do this conversion. I know zamzar.com does not.
